		*This will be the very last gig ever under the name of Garva.* The great news is that Liam's dad John, the original piper with Garva, is doing the gig. So the full line-up is: Tony Gibbons (cittern, vocals); Liam Murphy (uillean pipes, whistle & guitar); John Murphy (uillean pipes, mandolin, guitar & vocals); Matt Fahey (guitar & vocals); Danny Cameron (button accordion). I should think that will be a great sound. So... you can bet it will be a storming evening at Lymm Tennis Club - be sure you have a ticket!! Better turn up early if you want a good seat! Maybe come a few days early, and bring a sleeping bag! PLEASE NOTE: a special request from Lymm Tennis Club: The limited car parking at the Club will be very busy. Please use the Davies Way Car Park (2 mins walk away): walk out past library, turn left, over mini roundabout and first left, or use Brookfield Road. 		Bandersnatch was formed by founder-member Clive Leyland, who sadly died on Saturday December 22nd 2007. We hope to be able to organise a tribute night in his memory on May 15th when Clive had been booked to appeared at the club. Bandersnatch's Ed McGurk writes: "Clive was greatly missed when he left Bandersnatch but for health reasons and his desire to be closer to his family in Leeds, this was entirely understandable. We are so sorry that Clive's wish to pursue a solo career promoting his own material, has been so tragically lost. Bandersnatch owe a great deal to Clive, he brought us together, he introduced us to his songs and his musicianship has had a lasting impact on us. Fortunately, his memory will live on through his many wonderful songs. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Sheila and his family."

15 May	*£5.00*	Clive Leyland Tribute Night
		Tonight should have seen Clive Leyland make a solo visit to Lymm, but we had the sad news on Sunday December 23rd that Clive died the previous day. Clive's lung condition had deteriorated quite a lot and he had been due to enter hospital in January for tests to determine whether a lung transplant was possible. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. In Clive's memory, tonight will be a fundraiser and as a celebration of Clive's life...all money from the night will go to the Lung Foundation...and Shiela, (Clive's wife) and Sarah (Clive's daughter) are coming along and bringing Clive's CD's to sell. Bandersnatch (Clive's Band) have also kindly agreed to perform tonight, and Anthony John Clarke (whose band Clive played in) will also sing one of Clive's songs.

Well done, Harry! He first sang at folk clubs in 2005 at the Railway and the Ring O'Bells (Warrington), and has gone from strength to strength. Odd, really, when you consider he first started writing songs in the early 1970s...! Anyway, it doesn't matter when he started, 'cos we're enjoying what he's doing now!!
